Apprenticeships and Training
We have a continuous association with Accrington and Rossendale College, which is widely regarded as one of the best construction colleges in the Country. In partnership, we deliver a comprehensive Apprenticeship programme.
Young learners spend four days each week working on site, closely shadowing their Site Mentors and gaining valuable on-the-job experience. One day each week is spent at college, honing skills and techniques following a nationally recognised NVQ programme, amidst some of the most modern equipment and facilities available.
Our Apprenticeship programme has successfully helped us to win several awards in recent years. Most of our past Apprentices have successfully completed their NVQ studies to level 3 and have gone on to full time employment with the company. This has allowed us to develop and retain a new generation of skilled employees, whose quality and attention to detail have only enhanced the reputation of the company. We have successfully trained two Joinery apprentices each year for the past decade, many of those youngsters are still employed by the company.
We have a comprehensive training and development programme, which has allowed us to develop a skilled and loyal workforce. We list below some of the training courses, which our employees are encouraged to attend.
