Apprenticeships
We have a long-running association with Accrington & Rossendale College, which is widely regarded as one of the best construction colleges in the Country. In partnership, we deliver a comprehensive Apprenticeship programme.
Young learners spend four days each week working on site, closely shadowing their Site Managers and gaining valuable on-the-job experience. One day each week is spent at college, honing skills and technique following a nationally recognised NVQ programme, amidst some of the most modern equipment and facilities available.
Our Apprenticeship programme has been an enormous success, and has helped us to win several awards in recent years. All but one of our past Apprentices have successfully completed their NVQ studies and have gone onto full time employment with the company. This has allowed us to develop a new generation of skilled employees, whose quality and attention to detail has only enhanced the reputation of the company.We have averaged two Joinery apprentices each year for the past decade. Many of those youngsters are still working for the company.
